I know, I know the title of this post is what got you here. It’s different and cool, I know it. I’m cool like that.

Body parts are not something musicians are generally noticed for. But then some smart musicians, or should I say ‘showmen’, use their abnormal body parts to get as much publicity as they can. So whoever said “bad publicity is also publicity” actually had a very good point. I’m not saying that all of them on this list used their weird body parts to get to where they are today. They obviously had the requisite amount of talent to make it big in the music industry. But then having something noticeable other than just their music played it’s little part too.

5. Katy Perry’s Eyes 

Wait. Look down. Read this pointer only if you have the long (or short) cylindrical looking reproductive organ. Else, move on to number 4 on the list.

How can those eyes not get you every time you look at them? Katy Perry looks like a Barbie, and much of that credit goes to her eyes. Not to say that the rest of her body parts aren’t close to perfection. But those eyes!!!

I sound like such a fangirl, swooning and sighing and all. But that’s what her eyes can do. Sigh!

4. Tina Turner’s Legs 

We all love legs, be it our chicken or chicks. And Tina Turner pretty much set the benchmark in that department decades ago when most of the world couldn’t even spell ‘gym’. The queen of rock n roll had legs that were picture perfect. Long, strong and smooth. So much so that President Bush referred to her legs as the most famous thing in show business. She’s 70 years old now but can still give many a supermodels a run for their money when it comes to having the legs.

Funfact : She even has a song titled ‘legs’. Must watch!

3. Gene Simmons’ Tongue

‘Kiss’ as a band was much more famous for it’s larger than life live performances than it’s musical genius. Same goes for their highly celebrated bassist Gene Simmons. Most of their live gigs had Gene drinking blood (obviously a colored substitute) and then showing off his extra, extra, extra long tongue. Take a look at these pictures to understand the ‘longness’ of the situation.

Rumours were that he had surgically implanted a cow’s tongue in his mouth. Gene, being the sly publicity whore that he was, never refuted these outrageous rumours while he was playing for KISS. Eventually he revealed in his book that he was naturally gifted with an extra long tongue.

2. Corey Taylor’s Neck 

For the uninitiated, Corey Taylor is the lead vocalist of Slipknot and Stone Sour. He is an average, if not thinner than average, guy from neck below and neck above. But his neck looks like quite a misfit on that lean body. He has elephant size neck. HUGE! BROAD! BIG!

1. Marilyn Manson’s Ribs

Kids today worship Lady Gaga for being whackky and expressing herself anyway she wants to. The weird get ups and videos make her a genius in their eyes.

Well, I got two words for you. Marilyn Manson.

This guy made sure that whenever ‘music’ and ‘weird’ are used together in a sentence, he will be mentioned in the next. The white eye lenses, the pale white face, the big red lips make his appearance more than just abnormal. But it is his ribs that top this list. Apparently MM had his last pair of floating ribs surgically removed. The most famous myth goes that he did so to be able to blow himself. Fancy, but false.

Marilyn actually got beaten up pretty badly in a brawl. So much so that his lower two ribs almost penetrated out of his skin and therefore he had to get them removed. Maybe that’s the reason behind the extremely arched back. But all in all, Gaga does not come close to original pioneer of whackk in music.
