Apple’s done it again! During their recent event on the 1st of September they launched a whole new generation of iPods, a new version of iTunes with Ping (social network for music) and a new Apple TV (which we currently dont care about). Time to bring out the details :
iPod Nano:

Apple went ahead and decided to re-invent the iPod Nano. This is the only product that has gone through a major-radical change.
They got rid of the click wheel and decided to go the multi-touch way. Now the whole nano is a small 1.54 inch TFT display. Yes, it’s multi-touch. So tap, swipe and touch away to glory. Or not. It continues to support FM playback and can also double up as a pedometer.
Whats Hot: Multi Touch!
Whats Not: No camera, no sound recording and NO VIDEO PLAYBACK!
iPod Touch:

The new iPod touch comes with a lot of new features lifted straight off iPhone 4. FaceTime (video conferencing) - check. Retina (awesome) Display - check. HD video recording and editing - check. iOS 4 - check. Game Center - check!
In a nutshell the new iPod touch is thinner, has got two cameras (front and back), lets you video chat, shoot, edit and watch stuff in High Definition.
There’s all the new Game Center that comes along with iOS 4 goodness that lets you play multiplayer games! And not to forget the big new feature of multi tasking!
What’s Hot: Its not just about music and a few thousand apps.
What’s Not: Lots of pissed off new-owners-of-the-last iPod touch!
iPod shuffle:

The last generation of iPod shuffle saw the buttons going completely MIA from the player. This time they are back!
This shuffle, like the last time, has VoiceOver and now also supports playlists that you can create on your computer and load them onto the iPod.
What’s Hot: Buttons are back!
What’s Not: Apple decided to take the safe way and put in all the features an iPod shuffle customer would need. Can’t really think of a drawback.
iTunes:

Music. Movies. TV shows. And now friends and artists. They’re all on iTunes 10 - screams the Apple website. Ya, Apple has decided to join on the social bandwagon and come out with their own social network for music called Ping.
Ping is a social network that can be accessed from iTunes (on your computer or iPod/iPhone). Through Ping, you can follow your friends and favourite artists. You can see what music your friends are listening to and downloading and stalk your favourite artists!
According to Apple more than a million people joined Ping withing 48 hours of launch. Impressive! But it’s yet to see if Ping can stand the test of time and actually be sucessfull..
